[Fixed] How to Solve TickTick Notification Vibration Issue on Galaxy Watch
Users who pair their Galaxy Watch with the TickTick app have long suffered from a persistent notification issue. The problem is that TickTick’s task notifications do not trigger a vibration on the Galaxy Watch. They simply pile up silently in the notification panel, making it nearly impossible to notice them. For example, if you set a reminder for a "3 PM Meeting," you wouldn't feel any vibration at 3 PM, making it incredibly easy to miss your schedule.
But! I have finally found the cause and the solution.
Simply put, you just need to adjust your settings like this:
Go to your phone's Settings → Notifications → Advanced settings → Enable "Manage notification categories for each app".
After enabling this, go to the App info / Notification settings for the TickTick app.
Tap on "Notification categories" at the bottom, select "Task Reminder" (or your specific task notification), and tap on "Sound".
You will see that the sound is set to "Silent". Simply change it to any other sound.
(Summary: TickTick Notification Settings → Notification Categories → Task Reminder → Sound → Change from "Silent" to any other sound)
Very easy, right?
The core mechanism is exactly the same as what I wrote on my blog previously. However, with recent Android updates, the "Manage notification categories for each app" menu was introduced, which made the process seem a bit more complicated.
Now, you will properly feel the TickTick notification vibrations on your Galaxy Watch. I hope you enjoy that thrilling vibration—which might just feel more electrifying than holding your loved one's hand!
